Atria

For a pleasant living environment in large modern buildings, these are often provided with an atrium. Because atria are often very high and have a transparent roof, it is often very difficult to reach the existing fire detection components after these have been mounted. Because Stratos aspirating systems can be mounted away from the area to be protected and it is not necessary to physically approach the aspiration tubes during the standard technical maintenance, these systems are extremely suitable for use in atria.

Another technique that is often used in atria is that of beam detection. This technique uses a transmitter/receiver combination that functions with an infrared signal. When the infrared beam is disturbed by smoke, this can lead to a fire alarm.
